Established in 1971, Royal Institute International School, Havelock Town branch today, caters to thousands of learners from grade 1 to Advanced Level. At its inception, the school was headed by Mr. G. T. Bandara, the Founder himself as the Principal with 05 teachers on the staff. The humble beginnings were marked by 31 students preparing for GCE A Level examinations.
Today, the student body has grown in thousands receiving knowledge, enhancing skills and cultivating values in the shade of hundreds of aptly qualified dedicated teachers under the guidance of Ms. Iranthi Gunawardhane, the Coordinating Principal. Learners are prepared for National GCE Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examinations, and Cambridge Ordinary Level, Advanced Subsidiary Level and Advanced Level examinations.
