Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to join our faculty as a Lecturer in Statistics. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops in statistics to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
  • Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, and assessments, ensuring alignment with academic standards.
  • Mentor and supervise student research projects and dissertations in statistics.
  • Conduct independent or collaborative research in statistical theory, methods, or applications.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
  • Participate in departmental activities, including curriculum development, student recruitment, and assessment processes.
  • Provide academic and career guidance to students and support their overall learning experience.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on statistical methods.
  • Strong background in statistical theory, applied statistics, and data analysis.
  • Experience teaching statistics courses at the university level is preferred.
  • Demonstrated research potential with publications or research projects in statistical sciences.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse student populations.
