Royal Institute International School is excited to announce Ridhma 2024 – the annual performing arts festival. This event promises to celebrate the rich and vibrant heritage of oriental music through captivating traditional dance performances, highlighting the cultural significance and creativity of this art form. The festival will be held on 14th September 2024 at the Musaeus College auditorium, starting at 6:00 pm and lasting for one hour and thirty minutes.
All five branches of Royal Institute International School—Nugegoda, Maharagama, Havelock Town, Girls’ School, and Gampaha—will participate in this year’s festival. The Chairman, Mr. G.T. Bandara, Academic Director, Dr. Nirodha Bandara, and all the principals of all five branches will also be attending the programme.
Tickets for the concert are available at the main office of each branch. Parents, students, teachers, and other attendees are encouraged to reserve their seats by purchasing tickets from their respective branch offices.
The expected participation for each branch is as follows: Nugegoda branch with 160 students, Maharagama with 95 students, Havelock Town with 145 students, Girls’ School with 45 students, and Gampaha branch with 72 students. In total, 517 students will showcase their talents in the Ridhma programme.
Ridhma 2024 aims to highlight the performers’ talents, with each branch featuring Eastern dance performances set to music tracks composed by Royal Institute. The programme includes four performances from the Nugegoda branch, three from Maharagama and Havelock Town respectively, one from the Girls’ School, and two from the Gampaha branch, totaling thirteen captivating acts.
Since February 2024, dedicated staff teams and talented students have been preparing rigorously for this event. They have spent countless hours perfecting their performances to ensure an exceptional show. Their hard work and dedication will be evident as they take the stage.
